At Statista Tech, our mission is to to harness the possibilities of modern technology to bring Statista's data assets to the fingertips of our customers around the globe as conveniently and reliably as possible.   • Take responsibility for designing and maintaining backend services in Kotlin, Java, and Python to support user data flows.
  • Build and optimize event-driven pipelines that connect internal systems with the Customer Data Platform (CDP) and downstream marketing channels.
  • Implement reliable processes for collecting, transforming, and activating user data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness for campaigns and analytics.
  • Collaborate with marketing, data, and product teams to align data integrations with business and campaign goals.
  • Ensure scalability, reliability, and observability of data pipelines through monitoring, logging, and proactive improvements.
  • Apply best practices across the software development lifecycle, including design, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Good knowledge of Java, Kotlin, and Python
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer
  • Strong understanding of relational and non-relational databases
  • Experience with cloud systems (preferably AWS)
  • Familiarity with big data processing, event-driven architectures, and pipeline monitoring
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • (Nice to have) Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDP) or marketing technology
