For our development team in Lingen (Ems) or Osnabrück we are looking for a

Data Scientist (all genders welcome)

At ROSEN data science problems are never off-the-shelf problems but require creativity and out-of-the-box thinking to find the right solution

RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Solve real-world business problems by applying machine learning, optimization and statistical models to complex heterogeneous data streams
  • Design and develop new models and algorithms to analyze, classify, interpret and align several signal data streams
  • Design and analyze machine learning experiments that guide our model development process and help us to cut through the noise to identify what matters
  • Support team members in understanding experimental outcomes and refining their approache
  • Implement training and validation pipelines to derive a robust estimate of performance in production
  • Monitor academic and industry research to identify emerging trends and integrate relevant findings into ongoing projects
  • Automate data evaluation with a zero-incident mindset

To become part of the ROSEN family, you are team minded and convince by an independent and structured work behavior. Moreover, you should bring with you:
  • Completed degree or PhD in computer science, physics, mathematics, cognitive science, psychology, or a comparable field with a focus on data analysis or machine learning
  • Professional experience in deep learning, statistics, and signal data processin
  • Deep understanding of neural network architectures, including CNNs, RNNs, Transformer models, and their application to real-world data problems
  • Proficiency in the Python deep learning ecosystem (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.)
  • Problem-solving mindset, strong collaboration skills, and a passion for building high-performance systems
  • Ability to guide and mentor team members, contributing to the strategic and technical development of the group
  • Good German and English language skills
