For our site Diehl Aerospace GmbH in Nuremberg, starting from January 1st 2026, we are looking for a:
Head of Project & Configuration Management & Mechanical Engineer (m/f/d)
- You will be responsible for the disciplinary management of the Project Management, Configuration Management and Mechanical Engineering department and represent the team, ensuring – together with development partners – the necessary capacities and skills for the projects.
- You will be responsible for the recruitment and development of your employees.
- You will track and evaluate technological trends and their implementation.
- You will actively participate in shaping and further developing processes, guidelines, and methods to strengthen competitiveness, advise projects with your technical experience as well as on process and project management, and take responsibility for the relevant processes.
- You will moderate status meetings about development projects and support offers in the conception as well as in the estimation of cost and effort.
- You have a technical degree specialized in aerospace or a comparable qualification.
- You have deep knowledge of the development processes of project management as well as configuration management and mechanical engineering in civil or military aviation.
- You have experience in leading development teams and applying agile working methods.
- You have excellent communication and cooperation skills, are fluent in German and English and have a self-organized and determined way of working.
- You think entrepreneurially with foresight and show an integrative and appreciative management style.
