Purpose of role:
The role takes responsibility to globally manage and optimize outbound and replenishment transportation cost within the global Parts supply chain.
In the area of responsibility falls the negotiation and settlement of transportation agreements, set up process to manage and control transportation and freight cost.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage transport operations
- Lead and manage the Parts Supply Chain Transportation Team
- Expertise and experience in global shipments in all types of cargo
- Ensure compliance with relevant transport laws
- Analyze transport performance metrics and implement process improvements
- Ensure a state of the art set up of a Transportation Management system
- Ensure an efficient system to audit freight and transportation cost
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational goals
- Manage multiple sites and ensure smooth communication and coordination
Qualifications:
- strong background in transportation
- Academic Degree in logistics or similar
- Exceptional leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills make you the perfect fit for this position
- You have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and effectively influencing change
- Equipped with excellent communication skills, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and consistently deliver outstanding results
- Your ability to inspire and motivate empowers teams to reach new heights of operational excellence
- Willigness to travel (~20%)
- German / English business fluent
