Join the Direct Material Team of Group Procurement

You will become part of the Direct Material team within DOVISTA – the Danish company behind several leading and distinctive brands within vertical windows and exterior doors, and a proud member of the VKR Group.

Your role

As Category Manager, Hardware for windows and doors, you will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and implementing procurement strategies on Hardware for windows and doors with a strong commercial focus, across 16 Dovista locations, in 8 European countries for 12 distinctive brands. This includes tendering, contract management, cost negotiations, and delivering savings. You will report directly to the Senior Manager Category Management and collaborate closely with Product Management, R&D and with local Procurement across Dovista.

Although you will be based in Rudersberg, you will be part of a global team.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Procurement category strategies for Dovista to achieve cost savings and value creation
  • Carrying out demand analyses and identify opportunities by using global market and supplier analyses as well as benchmarking
  • Responsible for continuously ensuring and optimizing stable sources of supply, optimal costs and high quality while taking CSR goals into account
  • Responsible for negotiations with suppliers on executive level to secure favorable terms and conditions
  • Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure service excellence
  • Cross functional collaboration
  • Monitor of procurement-/market trends and developments to be able to make a significant contribution to strategic decisions within the company and drive innovation
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements

Your background

  • Degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related technical field
  • 5+ years of professional experience within a Procurement or Product Management environment
  • 3+ years of experience in Hardware for windows or doors
  • Work experience across multiple sites and countries
  • Business fluent in German and English
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, change-driven environment
  • Stiving to get things done in a hands-on mentality
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in working independently in combination with a holistic business understanding and collaborative mindset
  • Communication skills, applicable also towards higher executive level
  • Willingness and ability to travel to supplier locations and Dovista Sites
