CAE Lead Engineer (m/f/d)
You will lead the development of high-quality finite element models of Anthropomorphic Test Devices (ATDs) and human body models, contributing to cutting-edge safety innovations.
- Lead Model Development: Drive the development and delivery of finite element models serving as the project technical lead to ensure projects meet deadlines and specifications.
- Modeling & Simulation: Develop advanced FE models of Humanetics ATDs in LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH, Abaqus, or Radioss, following internal standards and best practices.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with global teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure timely, high-quality model releases.
- ATD Expertise: Apply your understanding of ATD design—including materials, structure, instrumentation, and testing—to build accurate and realistic models.
- Customer Support & Innovation: Provide expert support to customers and contribute to continuous improvement through innovation, best practices, and adherence to engineering and ISO standards.
The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset to drive innovation and excellence across all levels of the organization.
- Extensive Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience in occupant safety simulation and finite element modeling.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Material Modeling: Experience or familiarity with material modeling is highly desirable.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of crash solvers such as LS-DYNA, Abaqus, PAM-CRASH, and Radioss, as well as pre- and post-processors like HyperWorks, ANSA/META, PRIMER, and Visual-Environment.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of finite element modeling techniques and model development processes.
- Team-oriented Attitude: Positive, proactive, and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and German is required; French language skills are a plus.
