For our department Reporting, Controlling and Consolidation (RCC) we are seeking to recruit a (Senior) ESG Controller (f/m/d) for the team Group ESG Controlling.
In this role, you will guide and drive the development and integration of ESG reporting with financial reporting, ensuring data transparency, auditability, and timely delivery. You will establish reporting structures, oversee ESG data quality, and prepare the company for evolving regulations such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, and TCFD. Collaboration with internal teams, country organizations, and external stakeholders is key, as is driving automation in data collection and reporting processes.
You will directly report to the Head of ESG Controlling. The position is located in Heidelberg, Germany.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
- Develop and manage ESG reporting structures and controls at Group level, in close coordination with technical and financial teams
- Analyze ESG data and prepare it for integrated annual reporting
- Ensure timely and assured ESG data in collaboration with auditors
- Support country teams with training and guidance on ESG standards
- Drive automation and expansion of ESG data collection and reporting
- Integrate ESG metrics into financial reporting
- Monitor and align with evolving ESG regulations (e.g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ISSB)
YOUR PROFILE
- Academic degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
- Around 2+ years of experience, ideally in audit or reporting
- A sharp analytical mind, strong communication skills, and a hands-on attitude
- A love for data, an eye for detail, and solid Excel skills - ESG tools are a plus
- Genuine interest in sustainability and ESG topics - knowledge in the field of circularity is a plus
- Fluent in German and English (C-level); other languages are a nice bonus
- Openness to occasional international travel
