Your Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional for the position of Senior Expert in HR Strategy & Consulting. We are currently developing the HR Strategy 2030 and are looking for a team player who wants to be part of shaping the future of the people agenda at Merck. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented and passionate team, and to engage with senior stakeholders, including the Chief People Officer, and the global HR leadership team. If you have a genuine passion for people topics and a strong business orientation, we invite you to be part of our supportive team that shapes our HR strategy for the coming years.
The HR Strategy & Consulting team shares responsibility for the following areas:
- Contributing to the development and implementation of an agile, business-focused people function aligned with Merck's goals and market trends
- Consulting on critical HR projects, including strategic initiatives - such as shaping the future of the workforce with agentic AI - acting as a trusted partner to the HR community.
- Utilizing analytical skills to measure success through workforce analytics, scenario modeling, and people cost analysis; anticipating trends and recommending actionable insights.
- Contributing to annual strategic planning and ensuring milestone transparency within the HR community through effective HR portfolio processes and financial oversight.
- Collaborating cross-functionally and beyond to deliver high-quality content for executive briefings and presentations.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's or higher academic degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic management consulting is strongly preferred
- A deep understanding of HR best practices and trends is essential
- Experience in data and digital transformation is required
- Proven track record of driving large-scale, complex projects in an international context
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- A high level of integrity, accountability, and empathy for people topics.
