We are on a growth journey – now looking for a Project Manager Electrics/Electronics for supporting our CPV OEM business.

In the Sub-Segment Cooling Compartment & Power Inverter we implement exciting projects for leading OEMs in the on- and off-highway vehicle sectors. Together with our comprehensive OEM team, we take responsibility for developing innovative premium products.

The E/E Project Manager in this sub-segment forms the technical interface between OEM-related product development projects and the technical departments within the Dometic Group.

The main task of the vacant position is the economic implementation of new projects in the sub-segment. Current projects are to remain profitable in the long term and be expanded by stabilizing customer relationships and improving customer satisfaction.

As an Electronics Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating development projects in the field of electronics and software.

Another task of the E/E Project Manager is to develop in-house production capacities (location Shenzhen, China) in line with automotive standards (e.g. A-Spice), support make-or-buy decisions and identify continuous opportunities for improving work processes.

In addition, the E/E Project Manager is responsible for controlling the start of series production, supporting projects throughout their life cycle, and managing relevant projects, such as component obsolescence.

Your main responsibilities

  • Management and coordination of development projects in the field of electronics and software
  • Implementation of new projects, support of ongoing projects over their entire life cycle
  • Development of in-house production capacities in accordance with automotive standards
  • Support for “make-or-buy” decisions
  • Coordination of simulations and analyses to validate hardware and software designs
  • Technical coordination with internal interfaces as well as customers and suppliers

A suitable background would be the following in terms of qualifications and experiences:

    • Degree in electrical engineering or a similar.
    • Solid knowledge of automotive electronics and its applications.
    • 3-5 years of experience in multi-national OEMs, Tier 1 or Tier 2 related automotive product development (technical project manager, project engineer, technical customer service).
    • Proven experience in the development of embedded systems to series production.
    • Ideally, experience in the field of EMC.
    • Understanding of automotive OEM engineering principles, ability to translate automotive customer requirements into agile technical deliverables (technical feasibility studies).
    • Project management experience (time- and resource planning, budget control)
    • Performing simulations and analyses to validate hardware & software design.
    • Experience working in geographically dispersed engineering teams.
    • Good MS-Office Skills (Excel / Word / Power Point / Project).
    • Native German or English or fluent in business English/German.
