To strengthen our team in the department 'Building Materials' in Berlin-Steglitz starting 01.12.2025, we are looking for a Head of Division "Building Materials" (m/f/d) Salary group B 1 BBesO (Director and Professor)/non-tariff remuneration Official/permanent employment relationship Full-time/suitable as part-time employment The focus of the research work for the position to be filled is on material and microstructure in the field of innovative, climate-friendly, and resource-efficient building materials and components. The research should contribute significantly to the long-term reliability of building materials, considering physical and/or chemical aging and damage mechanisms. The research program should strengthen and expand the existing activities in the field of material research and development for the construction sector at BAM. The responsibilities at BAM include, in particular, the strategic, personnel, and technical management of Department 7.1 "Building Materials" leading and motivating a qualified team, actively shaping change processes, and contributing to the further development of BAM's thematic areas, especially in the field of infrastructure. Other tasks include positioning BAM as a federal research institution by participating in leading positions in national and international research networks and expanding existing and initiating new collaborations with national and international partner institutions.
