The Managing Director will hold the most senior executive role within the firm, responsible for the strategic leadership, regulatory oversight, and operational excellence of the organization. This position requires CSSF approval and entails accumulating multiple key functions under the Luxembourg regulatory framework, including conducting officer and compliance-related responsibilities.
This is a role for a leader ready to embrace complexity, make impactful decisions, and steer the firm through an evolving financial and regulatory landscape. A multifaceted and challenging position, it offers significant scope for leadership and growth.
Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Define and execute the company's strategic objectives in alignment with shareholders' goals.
- Oversee all business functions including investment services, client relations, finance, risk, and compliance.
- Foster a strong performance-driven culture focused on integrity and client satisfaction.
CSSF-Designated Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the CSSF for all governance, compliance, and reporting obligations.
- Fulfill multiple roles under CSSF supervision.
- Ensure that internal control mechanisms are robust and proportionate to the nature and scale of the firm.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Oversight
- Ensure adherence to all relevant regulatory frameworks including MiFID II, IFR (as a class 3 firm), and AML/KYC requirements.
- Collaborate closely with internal compliance to oversee regulatory reporting and audits.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of Luxembourg and EU regulatory developments impacting investment firms.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the company in front of key stakeholders including regulators, clients, depositary banks, and business partners.
- Support business development by reinforcing the company's market position and identifying strategic opportunities.
- Maintain high standards of transparency and communication with stakeholders.
Team & Governance Leadership
- Lead and mentor senior management across departments.
- Ensure the implementation of sound governance frameworks and company policies.
- Actively participate in board meetings and committees (e.g., Risk, Investment, Compliance Committees).
- Education: Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in the financial services industry, with a track record of executive leadership.
- Regulatory Fit: Prior experience in a CSSF-approved role or extensive interaction with financial regulators in Luxembourg.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of investment services, MiFID II, IFR, AML, and the CSSF regulatory environment.
- Languages: Fluency in French is required; English, German or other European languages are an advantage.
