With a fleet of 287 modern container ships and a Vessel Capacity 2.2 million TEU, as well as a Container Capacity 3.2 million TEU including one of the world's largest and most modern reefer container fleets, Hapag-Lloyd is one of the world's leading liner shipping companies. In the Liner Shipping segment, the Company has around 13.500 employees and 400 offices in 139 countries. Hapag-Lloyd has a container capacity of 11.9 million TEU – including one of the largest and most modern fleets of reefer containers. A total of 114 liner services worldwide ensure fast and reliable connections between more than 600 ports across the world. In the Terminal & Infrastructure segment, Hapag-Lloyd has stakes in 20 terminals in Europe, Latin America, the United States, India, and North Africa. The roughly 2.600 employees assigned to the Terminal & Infrastructure segment deal with terminal-related activities and provide complementary logistics services at selected locations.
- You will be responsible for implementing the category strategy for Professional & Managed Services (e.g., IT consulting services) and deriving tactical measures accordingly
- You conduct independent market and price analyses on a global scale and ensure transparency within the supplier landscape
- From preparing and running tenders to leading negotiations and finalizing contracts – you manage the entire procurement process end-to-end
- You develop and nurture supplier relationships with a focus on long-term collaboration and continuous improvement
- By closely collaborating with internal departments (e.g., IT, Legal) and cross-functional partners, you ensure smooth execution of your projects
- You guide and support internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire procurement journey
- You report functionally to the Category Lead for Professional & Managed Services
- A degree in Business Administration, IT Management, or a comparable commercial qualification
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in strategic procurement – ideally in an IT-related environment
- Initial experience in project management in an international setting is a plus
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence both internal and external stakeholders
- A structured and analytical mindset
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel & PowerPoint), ERP systems (preferably SAP), and e-sourcing tools (e.g., Coupa)
- Fluent English skills are essential for your role in our international environment
