Bausch + Lomb are recruiting for a CMO Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Manager (m/f/d) for EMEA


Purpose of the Role: Responsible for sourcing, contracting and managing assigned CMO suppliers with a yearly budget responsibility of a round 60-70 million USD-

  • Proactively manage assigned CMO accounts to improve on cost, quality and service according to business expectations
  • Define and implement yearly savings targets linked to assigned suppliers
  • Define and implement short and long term savings pipelines through SSI
  • Develop links with site procurement teams to find regional synergies and unlock supplier/product value
  • Build leverage and develop sourcing strategies with key global, regional and also local suppliers
  • Building and maintain a network of CMOs maximizing value from relationships
  • Get early involved in potential new BD&L deals and R&D projects
  • Screen product base and design re-sourcing strategies (i.e. insourcing, transfer)
  • Supplier lead for SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) globally
  • Business Intelligence support in terms or market screening, benchmarking and industry knowledge
  • Support the Global Procurement strategy and methodology
  • Identify and develop stakeholder relationships, expanding the integration of Procurement.
  • Build and maintain CMO wide spend visibility.
  • Negotiate supply contracts and monitor performance against contractual commitments during contract life cycle and beyond
  • Develop and manage the RFI/RFP process as part of the negotiation cycle
  • Identify, Implement, and track cost savings projects in cooperation with the site stakeholders, site controllers and regional finance
  • Coordinates supplier implementation and follow ups with site buyers / stakeholders
  • Comply with Quality Policies for vendor evaluation, selection and approval
  • Driving compliance of procurement processes, procedures and best practice initiatives

  • BA/MSc or equivalent
  • CIPS/NEVI or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Leadership skills
  • Negotiation & analytical skills
  • Understanding of the Pharmaceutical/medical device industry
