Do you have a passion for solving business and societal problems? Are you looking to use your talents to fight financial crime and protect the banking system? Are you detail-focused and inquisitive with excellent risk management skills?
We're looking for someone like that who can:

  • identify the dimensions of financial crime risk faced by the bank in the EMEA region in order to implement effective transaction monitoring solutions
  • develop solutions to manage money laundering risks in a complex business, regulatory and technical environment through transaction monitoring
  • document methodologies and requirements clearly and concisely so other stakeholders in the monitoring process, up to and including audit and regulators, can understand how transaction monitoring works and gain comfort that decisions made in regard to the system are sound
  • ensure robust governance and control over all aspects of the transaction monitoring process (including the execution of periodic manual controls)
  • work with subject matter experts in IT, Compliance, Model Governance as well as the external tool vendor, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure transaction monitoring remains robust and effective

You'll be working in the Financial Crime Prevention team within the wider Group Compliance and Regulatory Governance (GCRG) function. Our mission is to protect the capital and reputation of the bank by ensuring a best-in-class financial crime prevention function. We are a small team based in Frankfurt with an EMEA regional focus and strong collaboration with our peers around the world.

  • a bachelor's degree or above in business, economics, finance, law, political science or similar fields
  • demonstrated experience in a money laundering risk management function, preferably transaction monitoring controls in a large financial institutions
  • a detailed understanding of money laundering risks and how they manifest themselves in the cross-border banking context
  • an understanding of banking products and payments, especially in private banking, investment management and correspondent banking
  • profound analytical skills with attention to details
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • fluent spoken and written English and German
  • a flexible, resilient team player with a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills, able to build collaborative relationships
