As an Associate Principal Scientist - Antiinfective Research in our Drug Discovery department, you will play a pivotal role in our research and development initiatives.


  • Identify and evaluate innovative concepts and technologies for the treatment and / or prevention of bacterial or viral infections in animals
  • Plan and lead microbiological in vitro and in vivo programs
  • Lead, develop, and motivate colleagues in drug discovery projects
  • Lead scientific discussions in a global R&D organization

PhD in life sciences or veterinary medicine (biology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology) with a track-record in microbiology.

Your profile

  • Experience in the field of microbiology
  • Experience in pharmacology preferred
  • 2-3 years in drug discovery and / or pharmaceutical research
  • International post-doctoral experience preferred
  • Track record on scientific publications and presentations
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Good command of German
  • Effective time management, organizational and problem solving skills
  • High sense of accountability / urgency; ability to set priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a changing environment
