In this role, you will be embedded in an agile development set-up and being part of an international team in one of our new software offerings. With your strong knowledge and expertise, you will support our experts in being the driving force to define, specify and develop the Hilti software and work closely with customers.

In our IoT department we develop innovative Embedded Software Solutions, Mobile Apps and Measurement Technologies - through our technologies in application software we take our customers to the next level of the technological progress.

As a Software Product Owner (m/f/d), you will drive evolution of our software solution, contributing with your broad experience and high level of expertise in software requirement gathering and solution design activities.

Working closely with the team of product managers, you will analyze market feedback and define the product roadmap. Based on this input you will formulate user stories and work with UX/UI team to prepare visualizations.

As a strong role model, you are able to help collecting learnings which will be integrated into our relevant processes. You will drive high product quality by defining acceptance criteria and performing final acceptance of sprint deliverables. You will relay status, business impacts and system changes to team members, business partners and other stakeholders, providing strategic advice for business processes and solutions.

What you need is:

  • University degree in computer science, or information technology or related field.
  • At least seven (7) years of professional experience building scalable software solutions, including at least three (3) years of a successful track record in a role of Product Owner or Product Manager working in an agile development setup.
  • Technical proficiency, excellent analytical capabilities, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to set clear priorities, customer orientation, strong sense of product quality and attention to details.
  • Experience in working with software development tools (e.g., Atlassian stack / JIRA / Confluence).
  • Effective communication skills in English and ability to switch effortlessly between business and technical terminology.
  • Knowledge of the construction industry is a plus.
