Join our Baseband Automotive and Broadcast Division in Dresden or München (Germany) at the earliest possible date. In this thesis a near field object detector shall be developed using hardware of a radar echo generator. During this thesis the functionality shall be implemented into a system with Xilinx Ultrascale+ FPGA, AD/DA converters and millimeter wave frontend.

- Definition of a suitable algorithm
- Definition of waveforms (e.g. FMCW, PMCW, OFDM) showing best results for the given hardware
- Implementation of the signal processing in FPGA, where the infrastructure and certain functionalities are already available, e.g. arbitrary waveform Generator, NCO, sample recorder
- Development of control software optionally in C++, Python or Matlab


- Current Studies in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable field of study
- Knowledge in digital signal processing and FPGA compile flow
- First experience in VHDL and simulation tools like Matlab
- Experience with programming languages C++ and Python
- Reliable and structured approach to work
- Good command of written and spoken English
