Our team Supplier Management Engineering in Gelsenkirchen is looking for you!
- Act as a point of contact/ support Uniper's Engineering within new green Power & Gas business with full project life cycle consultancy and support for the implementation of effective engineering delivery strategies, especially the successful translation of Uniper's technical quality standards into high quality specification and contracts for green transformation projects
- Support the development of our Engineering function from "service provider" to "technical partner" by driving quality assurance for engineering, technical specifications & contracts and ensure focus on "safety by design"
- Support the value engineering processes within projects & deliver hands-on support for the implementation of improvement measures within strategic projects in close alignment with project management
- Drive the definition, implementation & execution of technical quality standards & best practices for technical specification and contracts in collaboration with all relevant project stakeholders
- Drive short-term to long-term organizational learning through technical reviews, lessons learnt and effective implementation management
- Advise project management & support functions in commercial & contract risk identification & support contractual risk mitigation strategies towards customers, JVs and suppliers in design phase; if required, deliver contract & claim management in development
- Establish effective ways of working with key stakeholders along the project value stream
- Actively contribute to a "beyond zero" and "psychological safety" culture in the team and department
- Degree-level education (Bachelor-, Master of Science degree or equivalent) in engineering, business administration, economics or law
- 5 years working experience
- Substantial experience with technical quality specifications & contract management / risk management (technical, commercial, administration, legal, etc.) for national and international customer projects of the power generation industry or the gas & oil industry
- Experience with project management, engineering processes and disciplines and/or asset operation & management
- Experience with proposal management or procurement
- Can-Do attitude, solution orientation & a structured way of working in a dynamic project environment
- Best-in-class communication skills & ability to build sustainable relationships in the team and with all relevant stakeholders
- Willingness to travel to other locations outside home-country (up to 20%)
- Fluent in English and German as a prerequisite
