The purpose of Hyundai Motor Europe Technical Center is to make sure that every Hyundai, KIA and Genesis which comes to Europe meets the demanding standards of the European customer and is adapted to the needs of that specific market.

To ensure this, we take on a wide range of research and development tasks at HMETC with a motivated team from many countries and cultures. These tasks cover the areas of Powertrain, Vehicle Development, Planning & Project Management, Electronic Systems, Commercial Vehicles, Design and a wide range of tasks in Corporate Functions for all three of the Group's strong brands.

To start shortly, we are currently seeking a

(Sr.) Engineer Power Module Development (m/f/d)


  • Develop innovative and sustainable hardware designs for traction inverter power modules
  • Find new cooling concepts for next generation high performance power modules and integrate to a holistic HV component thermal management
  • Layout inverter and high voltage vehicle infrastructure for reliability and robustness according to given regulations
  • Find innovative production methods for economic mass production of the components
  • Support issue solving during development
  • Support build-up of power module prototyping and test facilities within our R&D building.
  • Cooperating closely with other departments and handover all related information in precise and accurate wording

  • Degree in electrical / mechanical / material or automotive engineering
  • At least 3 years' experience on power electronics, power module and cooling structure design
  • Ideally more than 3 years' experience in PE components and thermal management system testing
  • General knowledge about semi conductor technologies and the cooling of high temperature HV modules
  • Experience in PM process and production techn. (material, assembly, quality and failure analysis) for PE system
  • Openness to widen experience to holistic high voltage propulsion system development
  • Willingness to travel and a valid European driving license B
  • Excellent analytical skills and a problem solving mentality
  • A very good command of English and strong intercultural & communication skills
  • Proficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel
