Unit description
BTO will drive security of supply, energy transition, organizational and financial health through digital, data and analytics. BTO will secure solid foundations through seamless end-user services (UX), industry-leading cybersecurity setup and resilient data centers and cloud infrastructure. BTO will have consistent business/BTO alignment, strategic partnerships with vendors and clear standards on architecture, vendor & portfolio management and security. BTO will unlock value of data and digital by building all the necessary enablers (incl. data platform, data governance processes, capabilities) and embedding innovation initiatives into business roadmaps.TenneT is growing fast to realize its strategic ambitions. We play a leading role in driving the energy transition. We are looking for a passionate Security Specialist (m/f/d) at our location/s Bayreuth or Lehrte who will contribute to this. The Security Specialist is responsible for implementing the information security plan and responding to security events. He/she ensures the security and integrity of TenneT's critical information and processes, making sure the light keeps on. Further responsibility of the Security Specialist lies in safeguarding all data, devices, infrastructure and systems against malware, exploit attempts, intrusions and attacks.
Information Security Plan
- Implement the information security plan based on the corporate security plan, compliant with the required guidelines and German regulatory laws and requirements
- Deploy and maintain information security technologies with respect to the latest technological advancements in the field of cybersecurity
- Identify critical systems and data to implement protective measures for these assets
- Support Service Managers on operational information security topics
- Provide security awareness, education, best practices, ISMS training and communication to stakeholders and TenneT as a whole
Incident response
- Establish, deploy and test an information security response plan, effectively resolving information security incidents
- Monitor systems and data for security events to detect potential security incidents
- Investigate security incidents, determine the extent of damage and implement corrective actions to prevent similar incidents
- Report security incidents to relevant stakeholders and take appropriate steps
- Completed Master/Bachelor education (preferred computer science, IT/cyber security or similar), supplemented by CISSP, CISM, EDP audit and/or CISA
- At least 5 years of practical IT Security, Risk & Compliance experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the fields of information security, IT compliance management and risk management
- Strong oral, written and presentation skills
- Proficient in the English and German language, both written and oral
