Position Title: Senior Chemical Engineer / Chemieingenieur/in (m/w/d)

A Day in the Life

As our Chemical Engineer you develop and design manufacturing processes/equipment, plan and test production methods, lead in your field direct facility operations and transform raw materials into products. You will assist your manager to ensure robust reporting of variances.

In your role, you will help us to continuously improve our products and help our patients to improve their lives. You will also work successfully on an interdisciplinary basis with other departments.


  • responsible for chemistry production engineering with respect to yield improvement within membrane manufacturing
  • working with engineers onsite to ensure that raw materials and manufacturing processes are optimally designed and controlled
  • established raw material test methods and investigates impact of raw materials on production line performance
  • determines most effective arrangement of polymer mixing and polymerization process
  • conducts data analysis to produce new knowledge in chemistry's contribution on production process
  • analysis of chemical raw materials and screening of alternative materials
  • works with supplier to reduce raw materials variances.

  • university degree in chemical engineering or process engineering of polymers
  • at least 4 years of experience in a chemical, plastic, or polymer manufacturing company
  • knowledge of fiber/membrane production processes
  • knowledge of plastic/polymer materials and related application
  • data science and analysis
  • fluent business English & German - both written and spoken
  • willingness to travel as needed, <5%
  • medical device quality standards, like ISO13485
