With immediate effect we are looking for a:
(Senior) BI Developer - Engineer (m/f/d)
- Interpreting Business Requirements: you will show a strong initiative and analytical capability to understand business requirements and information needs, assess feasibility and estimate development efforts
- Designing Data Warehouse Solutions: you design efficient and stable data warehouse solutions in strong cooperation with business users, stakeholders and the BI team
- SQL Development: you will create and amend database objects and update and optimise complex stored procedures with a focus on performance
- Developing Reports: you develop solutions using SQL Server Integration Services, Reporting Services, Analysis Services and Power BI to establish regulatory reporting, standardized reports and company-wide Key Performance Indicators and dashboards
- Data Warehouse Management: you will monitor and maintain daily ETL processes and data loading on an ad hoc basis and follow our testing and release process as part of an agile team
- Knowledge Sharing: you will support other colleagues in their tasks, write documentation and contribute proactively in agile sessions.
- Educated to degree level in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
- Excellent SQL coding skills
- Proven experience with ETL processes
- Strong experience of query optimisation
- Extensive experience in writing stored procedures
- Knowledge of data modelling and data warehouse architecture principles
- Knowledge of Power BI
- Experience with Azure Databricks and Data Factory is desirable
- Proven presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong oral and written communications skills in English
