Want to drive commercial excellence at ZEISS? You will work closely with the Executive Board, management and the business units to drive the strategic development of all commercial processes (marketing, sales and pricing) of the ZEISS Group. You will steer strategic initiatives and take over the technical management of projects with development and growth opportunities touching on all customer interactions and optimizing the sales funnel. As a driving force, you will cooperate with central functions and the business units to evaluate new commercial opportunities and trends and ensure sustainable implementation of changes to ZEISS' commercial approach. You will be supporting the Strategic Business Units and the Sales Organizations around the globe in improving their commercial performance with tangible and fast impact. Driving their implementation across the organization, you will have an impact on the development of ZEISS' core competencies in commercial processes and improve our customer interactions around the world.


  • an outstanding degree in natural sciences, engineering or business administration with a PhD or MBA

  • at least 3-5 years of professional experience within one of the leading management consultancies

  • in depth experience in commercial activities such as customer segmentation, sales force optimization, lead management, pricing, and incentives systems from a consulting or line-management environment

  • strong project and stakeholder management skills

  • agile way of working in networked and interdisciplinary teams

  • outstanding analytical competence, strategic thinking and implementation skills

  • passion for innovation, business development and enthusiasm for new technologies in commercial processes

  • fluent in English and German, both written and spoken
