We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Workflow Manager Ametropia Implementation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing global business and marketing plans on workflow level for our laser vision correction portfolio for ametropia, driving workflow implementation, and managing workflows throughout their life cycle. You will also be responsible for monitoring commercial success, analyzing global markets and competitors, and maintaining key relationships with industry professionals and stakeholders.

  • Derive workflow strategy based on customer and market needs across the regions

  • Identify new market segments and elaborate diversification strategies

  • Develop and execute global business and marketing plans on workflow level

  • Drive innovation along the workflows and deduce product-, service-, and market implementation requirements from customer insights/needs

  • Safeguard the alignment within the Business Sector (Product Management, R&D), Strategic Business Unit (e.g. strategic marketing, sales & support), and other functions such as Operations, Regulatory Affairs, and Quality Management

  • Monitor monthly sales results and constantly evaluate market effectiveness of workflow solutions and associated business models

  • Maintain close contact with key opinion leaders for joint development and input into commercial development and marketing activities

  • Cultivate and promote the ZEISS culture and values, empower and coach peers to accomplish complex assignments


  • University degree in natural sciences, engineering, or business administration qualification, double qualification in business and engineering/natural science preferred

  • At least 8 years of professional experience including global management, broad and in-depth commercial knowledge, and planning experience in medical device business - Business fluent English (other languages are a plus)

  • Deep expertise (either by training or through on-the-job learning) in business, technical knowledge, and application knowledge in ophthalmology

  • Well-founded project management skills, knowledge of global service management

  • High degree of leadership skills (people management, network maintenance), and customer orientation
