Under the direction of the Business Unit Director Hematology & Oncology in Germany, this individual will lead the Cell Therapy (CT) Unit, including the teams of CT Marketing, CT Operations and CT Site Management and will be responsible for the commercial strategy and execution for all existing and future CAR T assets in Germany. This includes maximizing existing assets and successful roll-out of upcoming launches and cross-functional team building & leadership.
As a member of the Hematology & Oncology Leadership Team, this individual is expected to operate in close coordination and collaboration with her/his/their peers at the local level as well as with partners on the global level.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the company BMS Cell Therapy (CT) strategy and market perception in agreement with the Business Unit Director according to local market requirements and resources, and in close collaboration with the global CT team
  • Develop, implement, and maintain local CT strategies and tactics to meet organizational objectives
  • Secure launch readiness for near and mid-term indications and CT product launches
  • Accountable for the CT expense budget and sales/patient forecasts and responsible for exceeding German sales targets for all CT brands
  • Manage and develop the Lead CT Site Management by education on field force capabilities to make the customer facing CT Site Management Team as effective as it can be and closely monitor the implementation and execution of strategic CT key account plans
  • Coordinate and lead the CT Marketing Team by providing strategic direction in transition the brand plans and prioritizing initiatives to drive brand performance
  • Ensure CT operational excellence by supporting the CT Operations Team in planning and executing on customer-oriented CAR T site qualification and CAR T site maintenance activities and by negotiating complex Master Service agreements with CAR T sites in close cooperation with Legal
  • Coach a highly skilled and motivated CT team to achieve business goals and foster individual development as well in delivering strong and direct impact on the company's growth
  • Establish close relationships with identified Key Opinion Leader's (KOL), Brand Advocates, cooperative groups and key external audiences like payors and patient advocacy groups

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
  • Business or science degree – graduate degree strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry with demonstrated track record across a broad range of commercial competencies (marketing, sales, market insights, commercial operations)
  • Experience in Cell Therapy and Hematology/Oncology preferred
  • Launch-experience in the German market preferred
  • Exceptional customer engagement; institutional/hospital experience is preferred
  • Experience in developing and managing successful strategic partnerships
  • Experience in tracking and managing budgets with finance counterparts
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex challenges and strategically plan to overcome obstacles and capitalize on opportunities in challenging situations
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and adaptability in a complex, rapidly changing environment
  • Track record of challenging the status quo and demonstrating passion for breakthrough ideas
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to turn analyses into strategic and tactical objectives and actions
