How will you make an impact?
The core task of our IT-Procurement department is to provide optimal and value adding IT procurement service into the METRO-world. When performing this activity, a lot of important data is generated and also required. In this newly created role, you will be our single point of contact for data collection, analysis, preparation, presentation and provision of the data and thus have a significant influence on the success of IT-purchasing and the company. You are fully accountable for the accuracy and transparency of IT procurement financials and group-wide IT-spend.
Your Responsibilities:
- You Ensure IT-spend transparency in the spend cube by collecting spend data from countries, maintaining the data, creating dashboards and providing insights to IT procurement team and IT Management
- You create and maintain a dashboard with all the necessary KPI information.
- You identify trends, opportunities and risks from the data.
- You support major projects and track costs and savings.
- Direct oversight of financial processes, ensuring alignment with procurement strategies
- You will lead the financial dialogue in cross-functional teams to support procurement objectives.
- You will identify financial optimization opportunities and implements spend analysis tools.
- You conduct regular financial reviews to ensure procurement aligns with budget and forecasts;
Required key competencies and qualifications:
- Proven experience in (IT) Procurement - Controlling.
- Good understanding of IT terminology in Hardware, Software and Services
- Analytical Proficiency – Expertise in financial data analysis for strategic decision-making.
- Generally, enjoy working with figures, data and facts.
- Proactive, result oriented team-player with the ability to work independently.
- Good process understanding - especially around procurement.
- Motivation to achieve consistently high-quality results.
- Very good Excel and Power Point skills.
- Very good fluency in English (written and verbal).
