We are looking for a passionate and driven Supplier Development Program Manager with expertise leading multi-dimensional, global supplier projects. In this role, you will be part of the Supplier Development and Readiness (SDR) team within the Global Procurement Organization (GPO) charged with developing and operationalizing an EU supplier development program. Working in close collaboration with your SDM peers, you will shape the future of Amazon's evolving supplier development and readiness programs. You will be responsible for designing and delivering repeatable solutions to assist our stakeholders in expanding our current supply base, advancing supplier diversity and establishing supplier maturity readiness levels (MRL). This vital and visible role will partner with GPO teams and other business stakeholders including Category, Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance, and Diversity teams to identify new and develop new and existing suppliers.

The preferred location of this role is Luxembourg to align with GPO peers.

Global Supplier Management is a major pillar within GPO whose purpose is to identify, analyze, qualify, onboard, segment, transact with, collaborate with, and evaluate the performance and compliance of suppliers who provide essential indirect goods or services to our internal stakeholders. Supplier Management builds mutually-beneficial relationships between suppliers and the business. We assess suppliers' strengths and capabilities, thereby uncovering and realizing maximum value while minimizing risk of failure. Our Mission is to establish GPO as the premier procurement organization by developing the best performing suppliers to secure continuous supply for stakeholders and customers.

  • Execute supplier development mechanisms including desktop and onsite supplier audits for Quality and Production Rate Readiness.
  • Conduct robust assessments of new and existing suppliers' capacity, capability and competency which adhere to GPO's sourcing strategies.
  • Support monitoring, tracking and ensuring completion of supplier readiness actions related to transitions, rate increases and early supplier engagement programs.
  • Develop a general working knowledge of supplier operational processes and quality controls to ensure conformance and enable scalability.
  • Work collaboratively with GPO, Operations, Construction, Engineering and other Amazon business stakeholders to deploy scalable supplier improvement tools.
  • Assist with maturing current policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, monitoring, and reporting with the goal of aligning suppliers' operations to customer demand.
  • Travel up to 25% of working time

In this role, you will be working collaboratively with new and incumbent suppliers to improve their capabilities, competitiveness and readiness in the areas of cost, quality, time and technology for the mutual benefit of both our customers and the supplier.

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology
  • Experience in MS Access and SQL
  • Experience in requirement gathering and ability to write clear and detailed requirement document
