For our Business Unit Railcar Europe in Hamburg we are looking for you as Commercial Data Analyst (d/f/m) / Scientist (d/f/m) – Revenue Management as soon as possible.

You will play an important role in shaping pricing strategies and revenue management decision-making processes within our organization. You will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and forecasting data related to product pricing, utilization, revenue, market trends, and customer behavior. Your insights and recommendations will directly impact our pricing strategies, revenue and utilization optimization, and competitive positioning in the market.


  • Perform in-depth analysis of pricing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Utilize statistical and data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights from large datasets including revenue-forecasting models that incorporate various factors, such as pricing, demand, seasonality, and market dynamics
  • Identify key pricing drivers and factors influencing customer behavior
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and visualizations to communicate pricing insights to key stakeholders and facilitate decision-making processes
  • Collaborate with the pricing team to develop and refine pricing strategies based on data-driven insights
  • Evaluate and recommend pricing adjustments to enhance profitability, utilization, and competitiveness
  • Conduct price elasticity analyses to determine the impact of price changes on demand and utilization

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Economics, Business, Statistics, Data Science)
  • Proven experience in data analysis and pricing; knowledge of pricing strategies, revenue management principles, and demand-forecasting techniques
  • Knowledge in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., MS Excel, Tableau, Power BI, Python, SQL or similar)
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication and presentation expertise
  • Attention to detail and the competence to work with complex data sets
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling and forecasting techniques
  • Strategic and analytic understanding with an interest in data-driven methods
  • Self-motivation coupled with an independent working style
  • Teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Competence to handle changing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Business orientation and an understanding of market dynamics
  • Very good knowledge of English required, knowledge of German would be an advantage
