We are looking for a proactive Solution Architect Engineering (m/f/d) to lead Solution Architecture activities and support Enterprise Architecture (EA) activities focused on the development and management of Engineering applications and infrastructure solutions. This role involves translating business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints, designing the Engineering solution architecture and analysing the target technology landscape in alignment with business goals and processes.
- Translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints to meet business objectives.
- Manage full-cycle development for regional and global Engineering projects, including Non-SAP software solutions.
- Develop a detailed roadmap for Engineering solution portfolio evolution aligned with Enterprise Architecture.
- Create architectural designs guiding Engineering solution development.
- Ensure execution alignment with promised outcomes through close collaboration with program/project management offices.
- Assess and prioritize global and regional IT demands in collaboration with business management for the Engineering domain.
- Facilitate business conversations to define design principles and assess architectural fit for different stakeholders.
- Bachelor´s or Master´s degree in computer science, information technology or engineering, system analysis or a comparable completed professional education
- Experience with standard IT Operations frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Non-SAP implementations in complex environments.
- Many years of experience in at least two IT solution development disciplines, including technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or cloud development.
- Knowledge of relevant technologies or frameworks (i.e., AWS, Microsoft, GCP), TOGAF, IASA CITA-P, or Open CA (Open Certified Architect) Certification
- General Knowledge of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) and BIM (Building Information Modeling):
- Familiarity with major vendors in the industry, such as Autodesk and Hexagon.
- Proficiency in English, German language skills preferred
