Contract Manager (m/w/d) SEI GERMAN BRANCH AND SUMITOMO ELECTRIC GROUP Sumitomo Electric Industries German Branch is located in Düsseldorf and manages several large-scale power cable installation projects in Germany. Contract Manager (m/w/d) Place of Work Düsseldorf, Germany Job Duties and Responsibilities The position will be mainly in charge of the following duties: Communication and negotiation with clients and subcontractors based on the contract conditions Drafting and reviewing of amendments and any other contractual documents Drafting of claims / variation order requests to clients Evaluating claims / variation order requests from subcontractors Providing instructions / advice to internal members about contractual requirements Monitoring the subcontractors' performance based on the individual subcontracts Monitoring and managing of the Risk Register of the Project Management System Monitoring and managing the Claim / Variation Register of the Project Management System Drafting monthly reports on all aspects of commercial and contractual matters Supporting the accounting team regarding invoicing and quotation procedures Supporting the Project Director / Project Managers to manage budget targets Supporting the administrative team regarding Import / Export Duty, VAT and tax issues Supporting the administrative team regarding project insurances Being in charge of risk management in all activities necessary for the project execution Skills, Qualifications and Experience Essential Fluent in written and spoken English and German Experience in commercial / contact / risk management for at least 5 years Knowledge of EPC projects and contracts Software skill - MS Office Must be able to live and work in Germany (visa and valid working permit) Preferred Work Experience in construction projects Work Experience in Power Cable Business and / or the Energy Industry Knowledge of German law Special Conditions & Benefits Flexible Working Time Work-from-Home option 30 days of annual vacation Free water in the office The position requires some travel, mainly within Germany Address of Our Office in Germany and Home Page Leonie Daniels ✉
