At Viessmann Technologies GmbH in Hof we are looking for a Claim Manager Construction (m/f/d) who will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and pursuing compensation for various deviations that may arise during construction projects. These issues can include delays, interruptions, cost overruns, design adaptions, and other challenges. The goal is to minimize the financial impact of construction claims and protect the interests of project stakeholders.
Your impact
As a Claim Manager Construction (m/f/d) you will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and pursuing compensation for various deviations that may arise during construction projects. These issues can include delays, interruptions, cost overruns, design adaptions, and other challenges. The goal is to minimize the financial impact of construction claims and protect the interests of project stakeholders.

- Claim Identification and Analysis:
- Identify potential claims early in the project.
- Analyse the nature and impact of each claim.
- Assess the validity and merit of claims.
- Preparation and Presentation of Claims:
- Prepare comprehensive documentation for each claim.
- Clearly present the facts, supporting evidence, and impact of the claim.
- Collaborate with relevant parties (contractors, subcontractors, etc.) to build a strong case.
- Negotiation and Resolution:
- Engage in negotiations with other stakeholders (owners, contractors, insurers, etc.).
- Seek fair and timely resolution of claims.
- Mitigate risks associated with prolonged disputes.
- Importance of Claims Management:
- Avoid or Resolve Disputes: Effective claims management helps prevent conflicts and ensures smooth project execution.
- Improve Communication: Clear communication regarding claims minimizes misunderstandings.
- Maintain Necessary Documentation: Proper records are essential for successful claims resolution.
- Minimize Risk Exposure: Addressing claims promptly reduces financial and reputational risks.
Your personality is characterised by a very accurate working behaviour, a high sense of responsibility and a problem solving approach. As a friendly and team-oriented person, you are happy to work in an agile environment. To ensure that you are successful in your job, we are also looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering, construction management, or related field
- Experience in construction claim management, contract administration, or project management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Familiarity with relevant legal (VOB) and contractual frameworks
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Very good verbal and written communication skills in German and English
