The Opportunity

The Real-World Data (RWD) team at Roche Diagnostics actively incorporates RWD/RWE into the development, implementation, and evaluation of Roche’s diagnostics products and digital health solutions. In collaboration with cross-functional teams at Roche Diagnostics, the RWD team advances data-driven decision-making to develop technologies that transform patient lives. 

The RWD team is looking for a RWD Intern to support quantitative scientists on select projects.  

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to quantitative scientists on day-to-day project needs

  • Perform literature reviews and desk research to build foundational knowledge for study design and execution

  • Develop and report summary outputs of research findings to team members

  • Assist in statistical analyses and model-building, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Solid training in public health, pharmacoepidemiology, epidemiology, quantitative methods, RWD biostatistics, pharmacoeconomics, and/or health economics

  • Current PhD student 

  • Expert problem solver capable of seeking help when needed

  • Excellent communicator and team player

  • High proficiency in the English language

  • Advanced ability in statistical analysis tools and programming; experience with biostatistics and RWD/RWE; and demonstrated research experience a plus

  • Passion for learning and curious about drug development in the biotech industry

The internship will take place in Rotkreuz or in Basel.

The preferred start date of the internship is April 2023 or upon availability for 12 months. Please clearly indicate your preferred starting date in your motivation letter. Applications need to include a CV and a motivation letter, both merged in one document.

This internship could be suitable for a Master's thesis.
