Construction Manager - (LIF0000T2)
Description
Key Areas of Responsibility:   
•    Leads the construction support team for the programme
•    Responsible for programme-wide construction strategy, requirements, processes, and procedures
•    Leads efforts to drive good collaboration of all parties involved in the construction
•    Drives interface collaboration between all parties involved in construction, including clients, subcontractors, cable suppliers, regional planning offices and construction inspectors
•    Responsible for assuring the documentation of construction by the Central Services Provider and Construction contractors
•    Supports the clients in preparation and assessment of construction tenders
    Works closely with clients, technical disciplines, cable suppliers, regional offices and regional planning offices
•    Coordinates regularly with the North and South Project Managers (who directly manage the Construction contractors) and helps them assure proper execution.
•    Tracks industry best practice on construction and works closely with the Programme and Project Managers, clients, technical disciplines, regional offices and regional planning offices with regards to implementation and dissemination as appropriate
 •    Works closely with clients, technical disciplines, cable suppliers, regional offices and regional planning offices

Qualifications
•    Degree (Bachelor/Master) in civil engineering or other relevant discipline
•    At least 20 years experience in management of construction projects
•    Experience as construction manager on at least 5 projects with values of at least 100 Million Euro
•    Extensive experience in the management, coordination, monitoring and inspection of large German infrastructure projects
•    Extensive knowledge of construction standards and regulations
•    Experience in team coordination and leadership
•    Experience in preparing quotations.
•    Good IT knowledge
•    Excellent organisational and communication skills.
•    Willingness to travel within Germany
•    Driving licence class B
•    Knowledge and experience in the use of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite and ArcGID
•    Quick learner and has the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work in a fast-paced and high pressure environment
•    Good time-management skills
•    Strong quality assurance skills
•    Fluency in German and English
