The role:
We are seeking a motivated Working student to support our Sustainability efforts. In this role, you will work directly with leadership to track our environmental impact, prepare vital reports, and help implement green initiatives across our production and supply chain. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience in corporate sustainability within the medical device industry.
- Assist in gathering data regarding energy consumption, waste management, water usage, and carbon emissions from our German manufacturing sites and UK offices
- Support the preparation of sustainability reports in accordance with international standards (e.g., CSRD, etc.)
- Help assess suppliers' sustainability performance by collecting certificates and analyzing questionnaires incl. EcoVadis
- Draft content for internal newsletters (like "Green Tips" for employees) to promote a culture of sustainability within the office and factory
- Research new sustainable materials, packaging alternatives, or recycling technologies relevant to ostomy manufacturing
- Assist in organizing internal sustainability events or audits
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Sustainability Management, Environmental Science, Business Administration (with a focus on CSR), Engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of sustainability concepts (carbon footprint, circular economy) and familiarity with reporting frameworks (CSRD, GHG Protocol) is a plus
- Comfortable working with data and MS Excel. You are detail-oriented and enjoy turning numbers into insights
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both German and English
- You are self-motivated, eager to learn, and not afraid to ask questions or propose new ideas
