Lifecare Germany GmbH, part of the Lifecare Group, is a clinical-stage medical sensor company developing advanced technologies for the sensing and monitoring of various body analytes. The German entity in Mainz is responsible for key development tasks including sensor design, chemistry validation, system evaluation and data analysis from both laboratory and patient studies. In addition to R&D, our laboratory provides commercial services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, supporting clinical research, testing and approval processes for drugs and medical devices, as well as general laboratory services for medical institutions. To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experiences resource for our Laboratory Department in Mainz to fill the role as
Software Developer (full-time position).
- Data acquisition and preparation
- Evaluation and analysis of data
- Collaboration in the development of methods for data analysis and evaluation
- Algorithm development
- Tasks in the field of software development and databases
- Independent work in various projects, according to common priorities in the field of data analysis and software development
- Cross-departmental process optimizations
- IT support on site
- Participation in the preparation of scientific publications on research results
- Creation of reports for the presentation of analysis results
- Documenting, communicating and presenting project results
- Close cooperation with internal and external development partners, customers, suppliers and academic partners
- Responsible for on-site (Mainz) hardware installation and maintenance, network cabling, and IT asset management.
- Managing the company's IT hardware inventory and overseeing on-site network and device infrastructure at Mainz.
- Continuous enhancement and new development of various software solutions for all departments across the company
- Completed studies (Bachelor or Master) in bioinformatics or a completed scientific degree in a comparable scientific degree in a comparable subject and knowledge of computer science
- Several years of professional experience in the field of software development (>5-8 years)
- Ideally first professional experience as a data scientist/data analyst.
- Very good knowledge of the programming languages R, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, C and C++
- React and KI based programming
- Good knowledge in the field of database development
- Experience in the field of UX development and design
- Very good knowledge of German and English.
- Confident handling of the common MS Office applications
- Very good communication skills
- Very good subject-specific knowledge, independent work and structured approach to everyday work
