As Senior Transformation Delivery Manager (m/f/d), you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic change across the organization. We are seeking a highly motivated leader with strong analytical skills and a hands-on mindset – someone who will be responsible for steering the delivery of high-impact initiatives within one of Europe's largest and most critical transformation programs.
What does this mean? You will help shape and establish a new Transformation Delivery Center of Excellence with the mandate to deliver complex transformation initiatives that enable our long-term strategy, ensuring alignment across functions and geographies. This role requires exceptional stakeholder management and the ability to navigate multifaceted challenges while maintaining an unwavering focus on results and impact.
Your responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Drive the successful execution of high-priority transformation projects across the group.
- Strategy & Development: Help shape the new Transformation Delivery Center of Excellence – the central engine behind the implementation of some of the group's highest-priority transformation initiatives.
- Accountability: Take ownership of high-impact, group-wide transformation projects to ensure delivery with minimal value leakage.
- Advisory & Stakeholder Management: Act as a sparring partner to functional leaders and senior project stakeholders, ensuring delivery of expected impacts and proactively overcoming roadblocks.
- Resource Management: Steer project resources (e.g., project managers, analysts) to ensure robust tracking, transparency, and disciplined progress management.
- Reporting: Report directly to the Head of Transformation within the newly established Transformation Delivery Center of Excellence.
Your profile:
- Experience: 4+ years of professional experience, preferably in fast-paced environments such as Consulting, Private Equity, or Banking.
- Project Leadership: Proven track record of leading and delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects.
- Functional Expertise: Functional expertise in commercial areas of wholesale/retail (e.g., supply chain, category management) is a strong plus.
- Education: University degree in Business, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
- Skills & Competencies: Strong alignment with our Metro Fundamentals: entrepreneurial, hands-on, and results-driven; high confidence and affinity working with data – from challenging business cases to interpreting company P&Ls; well-honed program and project management skills with the ability to remain calm, structured, and focused in complex, uncertain, and fast-moving environments; excellent communicator with the ability to create compelling storylines and present to senior leaders across the group.
- Location & Languages: Based in Düsseldorf or willingness to relocate, with openness to occasional international travel depending on project needs; fluent in English; German is a plus.
