Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d)

As Team Lead Accounting (m/f/d), you will have full responsibility for all operational and strategic aspects of the accounting department. You will lead our accounting team both professionally and disciplinarily and act as a strategic partner to the Head of Finance, to whom you will report directly. Your main task is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our financial data and the continuous development of the department. You are responsible for compliance with accounting standards (IFRS and HGB - German Commercial Code), managing the closing processes, and serving as the central point of contact for all accounting-related inquiries.


  • Overall responsibility for the professional and disciplinary leadership of the accounting team, including personnel development, goal setting, and performance management.
  • End-to-end responsibility for general ledger, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting, as well as ensuring efficient and correct booking processes.
  • Management and responsibility for the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS.
  • Continuous optimization and further development of accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and quality, including support for ERP projects.
  • Monitoring of CAPEX project controlling and its correct accounting representation.
  • Creation and analysis of meaningful reports for management, as well as managing liquidity planning and payment runs.
  • Central point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders on all accounting-relevant issues.

  • You have successfully completed a degree in business administration (e.g., with a focus on Finance & Accounting) or a comparable qualification (e.g., Certified International Accountant).
  • You bring extensive, multi-year professional experience in finance and accounting, ideally in a public accounting firm or an internationally operating company.
  • You have proven, multi-year experience in the professional and disciplinary leadership of teams and know how to motivate and develop your employees.
  • Solid accounting proficiency according to HGB and IFRS is a matter of course for you.
  • You are characterized by your confident handling of MS Office (especially Excel) and a common ERP system (ideally MS Dynamics).
  • Your strong communication skills and strategic thinking enable you to act convincingly at all levels.
  • You have business-fluent communication skills in German and English.
  • You possess a valid work permit for Germany.
