We are looking for a working student (m/f/d) for our modern and innovative location Munich Schwabing.
The A&S Solutions & ESG team is responsible for the integration of sustainability into Allianz's reinsurance business including the implementation of regulatory requirements, sustainability reporting and ratings, corporate citizenship activities and environmental management. It develops and steers sustainability activities at Allianz SE Reinsurance in adherence with the Allianz Group's ambition and commitments. To achieve this, the team works with a variety of internal but also external stakeholders.
What you will do as Working Student in the Team Solutions & ESG (m/f/d)
There are two primary topics you will focus on: supporting the integration of sustainability aspects in our reinsurance business and own operations and supporting one of our flagship events, namely the Allianz Climate Risk Award. We expect you to have prior knowledge and interest in sustainability related topics.
- We welcome applications from students that are in the advanced stages of their university degree and that are seeking a working student role for six months or longer.
- Support and consolidate the data collection and assessment process for sustainability related reporting, including the EU Taxonomy reporting, environmental management and corporate citizenship activities
- Evaluate service- / business ideas, define and develop overall business concepts for a multi-national business approach, arrange and combine requirements with solution pieces from within AZ Re as well as from collaborations (e.g. from CAT risk or physical risk vendors) with specific customer needs.
- Support internal sustainability related projects, events (such as Allianz Climate Risk Award) and processes (benchmarking and competitor analysis, research and analytics on sustainability topics)
- Support knowledge management and internal and external communication strategy related to sustainability integration in (re-)insurance
What you bring as Working Student in the Team Solutions & ESG (m/f/d)
- Advanced stage of your university degree in Environmental Science, Business Administration, Economics, Financial Mathematics, Political Science, or Geography/Meteorology with a genuine interest in (re-)insurance, sustainability and climate change mitigation
- Very good knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Strong analytical and data analysis skills / programming skills (e.g. phython) is a plus
- Strong research skills, with the ability to interpret data and repackage it into presentations with a cohesive narrative for management
- In-depth academic knowledge of, or strong interest in, sustainability topics (e.g. natural perils, climate change, sustainability and/or development economics)
- Professional proficiency in English (verbal and written), additional languages are a plus
- Prior working experiences and internships in the areas of sustainability, consultancy, finance, insurance, or multilateral development banks
- Openness to creative and innovative solutions, as well as a passion for working with forward-thinking technologies such as artificial intelligence or internal ChatGPT.
