  • Evaluate optical designs for mobile imaging applications and provide constructive feedback for enhancements and design guidelines.

  • Develop and accurately predict the performance of complex miniaturized optical systems

  • Develop simulations that accurately reflect measurement results, ensuring alignment between theoretical models and empirical data.

  • Investigate the feasibility of innovative approaches to address challenges in cutting-edge miniature camera designs.

  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers to manufacture lenses and assist in conducting failure analyses.

  • Prepare regular technical communications for executive and cross-functional briefings.

  • Collaborate closely with software teams and partners to create advanced algorithms that optimize module performance.


  • Master's degree in optical engineering, physics, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Experience in designing optical modules (e.g., cameras, displays, depth sensors).
  • Proficiency in numerical simulation software such as CodeV, Zemax, FRED, LightTools, Matlab, Python etc.

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (German is a plus), along with strong teamwork and leadership capabilities

  • Self-motivated professional with a collaborative spirit and a passion for innovation.

  • Familiarity with lens manufacturing methods (e.g., cast molding, injection molding, free-form surface generation, diamond turning, physical vapor deposition etc.) would be a big plus
