In your role as Financial Controller (f/m/d) at Schlafender Hase, your mission will be to optimize and further develop our controlling processes. You will act as a sparring partner for the CFO, management and departments, providing transparent financial data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to guide decision making. This enables you to play a significant part in the next growth phase of our company within a dynamic SaaS environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve our controlling, including financial reporting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting processes
- Analyze our existing processes and cost structures and develop contribution margin calculations by product, customer, and market
- Support our CFO in monitoring our monthly financial close as well as in coordinating the preparation of our annual financial statements
- Create and monitor budgets and forecasts with a focus on reaching our financial plans and KPIs
- Act as a business partner for Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Operations, providing support for department-specific controlling challenges
- Support the CFO in various projects to further develop the Finance department
- You have a bachelor's degree in economics, business administration or equivalent,
ideally with a focus on controlling - You have 3-5 years of proven expertise in controlling, preferably in a software company
- You are familiar with SaaS business models and the relevant key performance indicators
- You are driven by the opportunity to refine and build structures and elevate processes to the next level
- Attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data of different systems and/or subsidiaries are essential skills for this role, as well as a pragmatic, hands-on mentality
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel and BI tools is required, experience with Hubspot and
Microsoft Power BI is a plus - You are fluent in English and familiar with working in an international company;
German language proficiency is advantageous, but not essential for this role
