The TUM School of Management currently includes more than 50 professors, around 300 academic staff members, over 100 administrative employees, and more than 7,000 students.
For the School Office of the TUM School of Management at our Munich campus, we are seeking to fill the following full-time position (part-time arrangements are possible) as soon as possible. The position is initially limited to two years with the possibility of an additional project-based extension:
Project Manager Digitalization and AI (m/f/d)
The “Digitalization and AI” unit is a newly established division within the School Office of the TUM School of Management. Its mission is to support the comprehensive integration of digitalization and artificial intelligence into research, teaching, and administration, helping position the School as a leading institution in this field. The position holder reports directly to the Managing Director of the School Office and has an additional functional reporting line to the Vice Dean Information Management, ensuring strategic alignment and knowledge transfer across all relevant areas. Close collaboration with TUM Central IT, the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre (LRZ), and strategic hyperscale partners is also planned to ensure efficient and secure implementation of digital solutions.
Enabling data-driven decision-making
- develop, enhance, and implement tools, dashboards, and data management systems (e.g. KOINON) that support evidence-based steering and improve data-driven processes and analyses, including through the use of Celonis
- ensure data quality and availability for both management and academic stakeholders
Developing and deploying learning and advisory systems
- maintain and further develop digital and AI-based learning and advisory systems such as Rocket Tutor, Chatbot pAIge, Learnwise, Open Cast, and additional platforms
- identify new needs and integrate suitable systems into the existing digital infrastructure
- cooperate with internal and external partners to continuously enhance system performance
Optimising administrative processes
- analyse existing workflows and identify digitalization opportunities
- introduce and manage digital and AI-supported solutions to increase process efficiency
- drive continuous improvement and automation of administrative tasks
Organising trainings and workshops
- plan and conduct training programs on AI applications and digital tools
- deliver targeted training tailored to relevant stakeholder groups
- develop and maintain a portfolio of workshops and training opportunities in the fields of digitalization and AI
- a completed Master's degree in a relevant field such as computer science, information systems, engineering, media management, educational sciences, or another discipline related to digitalization, IT, or artificial intelligence
- initial professional experience in the higher education sector is desirable
- experience in both classical and agile project management
- strong affinity for technology and digital innovation
- creativity and experience in developing digital or AI-supported services and projects
- ability to tailor technical information to different target groups
- confident use of MS Office and other software applications such as data management and learning management systems, as well as authoring tools
- excellent English skills (written and spoken); German skills are an advantage
