That is why we are looking for:Falk Global Medical (GMED) bridges clinical development and commercial. We translate clinical science and communicate it externally and internally. GMED Affairs managers are working closely with their tandem GMED Science partners: Affairs focusing on the market, in permanent contact with HCPs, payers and patients, Science ensuring the solid scientific basis by contributing medical-scientific and compliance expertise. We are looking for a healthcare enthusiast and transformational leader who knows how to encourage, inspire and motivate the Affairs team to perform in ways that create meaningful change.
You should be willing to work at least 3 days/week in our Freiburg office, as well as to travel regularly.
You will guide and empower the GMED-A team to
- Translate scientific content and clinical data into a logical, scientifically balanced compelling medical story for appropriate audience
- Lead the medical TA strategy within their indication as well as integrated development teams
- Establish medical advisory boards and conduct regular meetings with key external experts
- Give input and participate in scientific events and international stand-alone symposia of the company
- Support the External Innovation, Development & Partnering department through medical evaluation and due diligence support concerning potential pipeline candidates
You will collaborate closely with Science & Innovation, Falk Foundation, Market Access, Commercial as well as with the medical heads of our affiliates and the most important distribution partners.
Externally you will establish and manage relations to KOLs, patient organizations, regulatory and healthcare bodies etc.
You will be responsible for
The global medical performance and contributing to strategic corporate objectives by driving medical excellence: setting and executing the global medical affairs strategy for the three therapeutic areas (IBD, EoE and HEP) and ensuring translation of the TA strategies into functional and brand planning and relevant medical deliverables.
Operating within a culture of ethical and compliant behavior by ensuring optimal quality standards and adherence to legal compliance regulations, applicable company standards, policies, and procedures.
Providing proactive and strategic input to the affiliates' medical heads, cross-functional affiliate teams and affiliate general managers.
- Degree in natural sciences, preferably medicine, pharmacy or biology/biochemistry, doctorate desirable
- At least >5 years of pharma industry and team lead experience in medical affairs at an international (Europe, USA, Australia,…) level
- Experience in gastroenterology and hepatology as well as in patient engagement is mandatory, experience in post-approval named patient programs is clearly an advantage
- Independent and structured way of working, strong communication skills, empathetic and transparent personality. Clarity, accuracy and a transformational leadership style is natural for you
- Very good written and spoken English and German, other foreign languages such as French, Italian or Spanish are highly appreciated
- Proficiency in MS 365 applications, scientific literature databases, Prism Graph Pad or Adobe Illustrator knowledge very welcome
