Head of Supplier Quality Operations Management (W/M/D)
The Supplier Quality department ensures the quality capability of suppliers. To achieve this, the department works closely with purchasing, logistics, production, project teams, and suppliers. Suppliers are monitored and assessed regarding their quality performance and capability. Based on this, measures and goals for quality improvement and supply assurance are implemented in collaboration with the suppliers.
The "Supplier Quality Operations Management" department is responsible for incoming goods inspection, as well as the planning, creation, maintenance, and documentation of inspection plans based on technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Furthermore, it works closely with "Supplier Quality Management" in handling quality deviations and supplier claims and waiver management.
- Technical and disciplinary leadership and further development of the Supplier Quality Operations team with 14 employees
- Management of the external incoming goods inspection service provider at the location Laichingen, as well as the internal incoming goods control at the locations Oberkochen and Wetzlar
- Development and optimization of inspection procedures, inspection plans, and documentation in compliance with military and safety standards
- Close collaboration with purchasing, supplier quality, and production to clarify quality deviations and complaints
- Responsible for supplier claim and waiver management
- Development and optimization of a key performance indicator system for the department
- Support in analyzing supplier quality
- Continuous improvement of processes within the framework of lean management and quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AQAP, …)
- Creation, review, and maintenance of quality information records
- Completed degree in industrial engineering, electrical engineering, communications engineering, production technology, or a comparable field
- Several years of experience in quality assurance, ideally in incoming goods inspection within the defense or aerospace industry
- Several years of leadership experience is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 9001, EN 9100)
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- High quality awareness and attention to detail
- Assertiveness as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
- Proficient in inspection tools, measurement methods, and quality management software, as well as SAP
