Job Description

We're looking for a Senior Data Manager to join our Corporate Lending Programme during an exciting growth phase. You'll be the central data contact, owning the data workstream end to end. The role combines hands-on data analysis and reporting with growing responsibility for data governance, documentation of Critical Data Elements (CDEs), and data quality oversight. You will be building a robust data management framework that supports risk quantification, reporting, and compliance with regulations like IFRS 9 and BCBS 239.

Work as part of our Corporate Business Development team in Berlin or Amsterdam.


  • Data Office & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main data contact for the Corporate Lending Programme and collaborate with Risk, Finance, IT, Treasury, and Lending teams to align data initiatives with business needs.
  • Portfolio Implementation & Change Management: Lead data ingestion for the new corporate lending portfolio, ensuring readiness for go-live and driving continuous improvement during BAU operations.
  • Data Management & Governance: Design and implement a robust data framework and governance structure aligned with regulatory standards (BCBS 239, IFRS 9) and Group policies.
  • Risk Data & Quality Assurance: Deliver accurate data for risk reporting and regulatory submissions, while managing data remediation and quality assurance.
  • Process Optimization & Data Culture: Promote data literacy and implement automation and efficiency improvements in data handling and reporting.

  • Education: Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science or similar; certifications in data or risk management are a plus.
  • Experience: +5 years in data management within financial services, ideally with lending or credit risk exposure.
  • Technical Skills: SQL, Python, BI tools (Power BI, Tableau); experience with ETL and data warehousing is an advantage.
  • Knowledge: Credit risk models (IRB, IFRS 9) and regulatory frameworks (BCBS 239); corporate lending knowledge is a plus.
  • Core Competencies:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
    • Effective communicator and stakeholder manager.
    • Organized, proactive, and comfortable in both project and BAU environments.
    • Excel lent English; German or Dutch is a plus.
