For our office in Berlin Mitte we are looking for a
Manager Technical Accounting & Accounting Governance (m/f/d)
- Support ECB Readiness: Contribute to ECB supervision projects by improving Finance data quality, traceability, and governance in line with BCBS 239 and ECB requirements.
- Enhance Data Governance & Automation: Lead initiatives to strengthen Finance data governance and automate processes. Document data lineage, manage metadata, implement quality controls, and streamline reporting for transparency and auditability.
- Manage Audits: Coordinate internal and external audits with focus on data governance and process controls. Address findings and report remediation to senior Finance leadership.
- Financial Statements & Reporting: Oversee statutory (HGB) and management reports for Lloyds Bank GmbH and LB plc Berlin branch. Support month-end reviews and provide commentary on key movements.
- Accounting Expertise: Advise on IFRS, HGB/RechKredV, and IDW standards for credit institutions. Support projects on accounting methodology and regulatory reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Assist Senior Manager Accounting with reviewing reporting packages and journals, ensuring data consistency and compliance with internal standards.
- Master degree with focus on e.g. accounting, audit, controlling. CA ACA, CIMA preferred.
- Several years in financial reporting/statutory accounting or experience at a Big 4 audit firm.
- Strong expertise in IFRS and HGB for financial institutions.
- Proven experience preparing and reviewing HGB financial statements and management reports.
- Solid understanding of ECB supervisory expectations (e.g., BCBS 239) and data governance principles.
- Hands-on experience in Finance process automation and data governance (quality, lineage, metadata).
- Fluent German (written and spoken) required; good English is a plus.
