  • Support the Client in planning, coordinating, and executing Certification and Authorization activities for railway vehicles and subsystems.
  • Prepare, review, and validate technical documentation required for certification dossiers (Technical File, Safety Case, Declarations of Verification, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with EU regulations (e.g., EU 2018/545, EU 402/2013, TSIs) and applicable national rules.
  • Interface with Notified Bodies (NoBo), Designated Bodies (DeBo), Assessment Bodies (AsBo), and National Safety Authorities (NSAs).
  • Provide guidance on certification strategy and regulatory pathways, identifying risks and proposing mitigation actions.
  • Monitor project progress to ensure timely submission and approval of authorization files.
  • Support gap analysis, conformity assessments, and verification activities against technical and safety requirements.
  • Advise on best practices and lessons learned to optimize certification and authorization processes.
  • Reporting to Customer internal team

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Transportation, or related field).
  • Min. 3 years of experience in Rail Engineering
  • Proven experience in railway certification and authorization processes at vehicle and/or subsystem level.
  • Solid knowledge of European railway legislation, TSIs, CENELEC standards, and national regulations.
  • Familiarity with interactions with Notified/Designated/Assessment Bodies and National Safety Authorities.
  • Strong documentation and report-writing skills, with attention to regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with client teams and stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in German: C1 certification is required
