What you can expect from us

In the Finance Trainee Program, you'll learn how strategic thinking and analytical skills come together. This is how you'll become a Playmaker who shapes key decisions and actively drives E.ON's financial future.

  • During the program, you will have the opportunity to work in different areas, primarily within the core finance departments (e.g. Accounting, Group Finance, M&A, Investor Relations, Tax)

  • In addition, you will complete at least one cross-functional and one international placement

  • Furthermore, we offer you the chance to gain global insights into E.ON's business, with a focus on topics such as strategy and capital markets across Europe (e.g. Germany, Sweden, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Romania, Croatia, the United Kingdom)


What we expect from you

  • You hold an above-average Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Controlling or a comparable field with at least 2 years of relevant professional experience, or a corresponding Master's degree

  • You are passionate about Finance topics such as Corporate Management, Controlling, Financial Reporting, Risk Management, or Digital Finance Processes

  • You are fluent in German and English

  • Ideally, you have gained international experience through study abroad, internships, or voluntary activities

  • Initial experience with digital technologies in a financial environment as well as working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP) or other digital finance tools would be an asset

  • You already bring first relevant knowledge or skills in Accounting, Controlling, Financial Analysis, or Treasury

  • You contribute strong analytical skills and a pronounced affinity for numbers

  • You work in a self-driven, structured, and solution-oriented manner, which we will continue to develop together
