Project Assistant (Document Management/IT) (m/f/d)

As part of our international project team, you'll ensure smooth information flow and structured document management across all project partners. This team currently plans to build and operate a large-scale chemical plant at the US gulf coast. Acting as the backbone of the project within this team, you maintain and develop the SharePoint/EDMS environment, ensuring that all documents are correctly registered, classified, distributed, and available throughout the project lifecycle — directly supporting the successful realization of this and other future projects.
- Document & Data Management: Organize, maintain, and structure all project documents within SharePoint including setting meta-tags and structuring the libraries. Coordinate data migration and support document verification.
- Content Maintenance & Version Control: Keep documents updated, archived, and versioned to ensure traceability, searchability, and compliance.
- Access & Permissions Management: Manage user roles and permissions for internal and external stakeholders, reviewing and adjusting rights regularly.
- SharePoint Setup & Development: Build or enhance the DMS, with AI, power automate and power BI to streamline workflows and monitor platform performance.
- Team Support & Training: Assist the project team in navigating the systems, onboarding new members, and providing training for efficient SharePoint usage.

- Completed vocational training (e.g., Kaufmann/-frau für Büromanagement, Fachinformatiker/in, or equivalent) or a university degree in Business Administration, Information Management, or IT.
- Initial professional experience in document management, within engineering, construction, or large-scale industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint
- Excellent command of English (C1–C2)
