European Test Services (ETS) B.V. – an AIRBUS and IABG joint venture – serves as the driving force behind the operations and maintenance of the prestigious European Space Agency (ESA) test centre, located in the Netherlands. ETS is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanical Test and Maintenance Engineer / Technician, dedicated to maintaining, preparing, performing and reporting testing operations of the mechanical facilities. As a key member of our team, the Test and Maintenance Engineer / Technician will report to the ETS Mechanical Technical Manager, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of mechanical tests and contributing to the overall success of our company.
- Perform acoustic, vibration, shock, mass property tests in accordance with applicable test requirements as operator and as test responsible leading the test team
- Carry out and document preventive and corrective maintenance activities on equipment within the Mechanical Testing team's scope
- Execute test preparation including instrumentation
- Report any deviation, lead investigations, and implement corrective measures required to perform corrective maintenance on testing equipment
- Support facility maintenance, modifications and upgrades, liaising with suppliers and consultants and coordinate 3rd parties on site
- Compile test (and maintenance) reports
- Cooperate with international customers and test team in the frame of complex space programs and industrial projects
- Contribute to continuous improvement process by providing suggestions, participating to lesson learnt sessions, reviewing and updating ETS documentation
- Bachelor degree or technical professional qualification
- Experience with mechanical test and measurement systems
- A good knowledge of vibration and acoustic facilities used in the mechanical testing of components, subsystems or systems
- Basic knowledge and ability to troubleshoot on electrical systems and diagrams
- Ability to perform tasks independently according to the applicable processes and requirements
- Fluent English language, both written and spoken
- Ability to work occasionally in shift and on Saturdays
