As a Hardware Engineer for HMI Component Switches, you will be responsible for the development, validation, and lifecycle support of user interface components such as buttons and switches within the vehicle interior. You will work in a global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure high-quality components that integrate seamlessly into the vehicle system.


  • Lead the design and continuous improvement of HMI switch components / Electromechanical Components
  • Ensure compliance with all technical specifications and industry standards
  • Collaborate with system architects and other engineering teams to integrate HMI components into the vehicle
  • Define and execute validation tests, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and in-vehicle testing
  • Act as the technical interface for international suppliers
  • Monitor development progress to ensure quality, timing, and milestone adherence
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues during development and in the field
  • Continuously enhance component performance based on test results and user feedback
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for components
  • Provide regular updates and reports to project stakeholders

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in HMI component development or a similar role
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional teams
  • Strong knowledge of electromechanical components, especially switches and buttons
  • Experience with system integration and validation in the automotive sector
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Intercultural competence and ability to collaborate across time zones
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
